The Points in a Line Paradox

This one is absurdly simple, yet I have been told by a professional mathematician that there is no resolution.

Take the line interval from 0 to 1. It has length 1. This line interval is composed entirely of points. Each point has zero dimensions ie no length. So the sum of the lengths of all the points in the line interval is zero. Hence the line has zero length.
